A warm welcome to you.
My name is Debbie, and I am an integrative counsellor with training in various theories (psychodynamic, person-centred, transactional analysis, gestalt, cognitive behavioural therapy). This allows me to have a holistic approach and tailor my support to your individual needs. My practice is based in Mansfield and I offer one to one counselling to adults, young people, and children.
My role is to provide you with a non-judgemental, open, honest, empathetic, and supportive space to fully explore your situation and to help you to understand your thoughts and feelings so that, together, we can work through any difficulties you are experiencing. I am ready to work with you in your journey and help you navigate through your obstacles, life changes and finding resolution and peace.
We will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, to explore your feelings, thoughts, behaviours, and patterns, whilst trying to understand how these might have developed. This can be a daunting process, but with the support of your therapist, you will be given time and space to explore and reflect on these experiences and relate them to your current way of being in the world.

This list is not exhaustive, and there are many other reasons why people choose to have therapy. I am currently offering face to face sessions in my office, online from various platforms Zoom, Webix, Skype or on the telephone.
A bit of background on me.
I am married to a gentle man who has autism, and I am a mum of three young adults, two of whom are also diagnosed with autism. This can make life challenging, and no two days are the same! I love animals and we have a Leon Berger dog who is huge and very loving. Aside from walking her I enjoy sunshine and a read of my kindle. I am told I am very approachable, and I would make you very welcome if you choose to entrust me to help you. Together we can make your life better.
